Jisan Research Institute Research Fellows

The Research Fellows are full time researchers employed by the Jisan Research Institute. Their primary duties include running their research programs while teaching young students who are part of their research efforts. This means that the Research Fellow must create a research program along with a plan for integrating up to twenty precollege students in the program.

One of the advantages of the Jisan Research Institute methodology is that the educational program provides a significant amount of funding for the Research Fellow. This allows the Research Fellow to focus his or her efforts on the research at hand rather than fund raising. Moreover, working with young people, who do not already know what is and isn't possible has the dual effect of forcing the researcher to learn to communicate what his or her project is to an unsophisticated group, and can generate new ideas from the students' own undisciplined set of ideas.
