Some of our students are currently working on developing exciting new technologies!

Water Pump
These students are putting together a patented technology developed by Dr. Sanza Kazadi and former student, Mark Webb. This is a solar water pump which needs no moving parts to move water over long distances. Uses could include desalinating and pumping water to feed hundreds of millions of people!

Here are a few pictures of our students constructing the new pump.

Alex cuts the end of an aluminum tube that will be part of the water pump.

Nalae examines a torn mold used to make blue rubber o-rings.

Andrew compares the new reflector (left) with part of the old (right).

The inner tube gets put in place.

The outer tube gets put in place.

The top gets placed on.

Most parts of the pump are completed.

Floating Windmills
The advantage of floating windmills is really that they don't break easily. With only one point of friction, wear and tear are nearly a thing of the past. Neat!
